Bannon worried Oprah could be ‘threat’ to Trump

Steve Bannon, the ex-White House Chief of Staff, is claiming that #MeToo movement could affect President Trump’s Re-election. He also added that this movement will dominate the American culture and that if Oprah decides to run for President, she could spell the end for President Trump.

From The Hill:

Former White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon reportedly worried about Oprah Winfrey campaigning for Democrats in the 2018 midterm elections, saying she could be an “existential threat” to the Trump presidency.

According to an updated version of “Devil’s Bargain” by Josh Green, Bannon believes Democrats would attempt to impeach President Trump if they take control of the House, Politico reported.

“The anti-patriarchy movement is going to undo ten thousand years of recorded history,” Bannon said, according to the book.

“You watch. The time has come. Women are gonna take charge of society. And they couldn’t juxtapose a better villain than Trump. He is the patriarch. This” – the Golden Globe Awards – “is a definitional moment in the culture. It’ll never be the same going forward.”

Winfrey’s speech during the Golden Globe Awards, addressing the “Me Too” and “Times Up” movements, spurred talk of a potential White House run in 2020.
