Dan Crenshaw poked fun at AOC’s Green New Deal

Rep. Dan Crenshaw poked fun at Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal during an appearance at the Washington Press Club Foundation dinner.

The congressman recalled when he was at Saturday Night Live and how Steven Spielberg approached him backstage and gave him a compliment on his timing.

Addressing the audience, Crenshaw also added that he and Spielberg planned to do a movie together.

“The first movie we started with was to rename ‘Planes, Trains and Automobiles,’” Crenshaw said. “It’s the Green New Deal edition so it’s just called ‘Trains,’” he said to laughs.

Crenshaw also hit back at “SNL”‘s Pete Davidson for saying the eyepatch that Crenshaw wears — he was a SEAL who lost an eye in Afghanistan — made him look like “a hitman in a porno movie.”

“Pete, what in God’s name are you watching?” asked Crenshaw.

He also bemoaned that “you can’t make funny jokes anymore.”

“So I come from a SEAL team. We have a very different sense of humor,” he said.

Crenshaw then told the story of a military buddy of his who had a big “rest in peace” tattoo on his chest.

“It’s a memorial tattoo for one of his best friends,” Crenshaw said. “Who isn’t dead yet.”

The crowd roared.

“He’s like, yeah, I’m just keeping it warm for ya,” he added.

No wonder America loves this guy. He is awesome!
