Senator Lindsey Graham lashed out at FBI after new revelations that the bureau continued to use the golden showers dossier developed by ex-British intelligence officer Christopher Steele to renew warrants to monitor people close to Trump.
Graham called new documents about Bruce Ohr’s contact with Steele “the tip of the ice berg,” noting “I know personally there’s a lot more out there.”
Sen. Graham, who also serves as Senate Judiciary Chairman, claimed the information showed bias in the Justice Department as it began the Russia investigation.
“Here’s what we’re looking at: Systematic corruption at the highest level of the Department of Justice and the FBI against and in favor of Hillary Clinton,” Graham told host Sean Hannity on Fox News Thursday night.
Graham also said he will probe the firing of former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, who is suing the government.
“It gives me a chance as the chairman of the committee to look into whether or not the FBI did inappropriately toward McCabe or was it his fault that he got fired? I’ll look into that,” Graham told Hannity.
“The documents show that ‘he chief source of the FISA warrant was Mr. Steele, who hated Trump’s guts,” he said, referring to the surveillance warrant.
“The investigation of Trump is very biased,” the senator said.
“The FISA warrant against Carter Page was a fraud, I believe. The counter-intelligence investigation is something we have to look at very closely,” Graham said.
