Ocasio-Cortez says Dems are ‘sitting on our hands’ on impeachment

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez stated today that when it comes to impeachment, the Democrats are “sitting on their hands.”

In addition, she was also asked if she was satisfied with Pelosi approach to impeachment. Ocasio-Cortez’s answer was “Personally, I am not.

I think that an impeachment inquiry is right on our doorstep,” she said, adding she is “concerned” about where the line to begin proceedings has been drawn.

If now isn’t the time … what is the bar, what is the line that we’re waiting to be crossed for an impeachment inquiry, and so far it doesn’t seem like there is one,” Ocasio-Cortez said.

And so without a clear boundary, it seems as though we’re kind of sitting on our hands,” she added. “So, if now isn’t the time, then I think a lot of folks would like to know, when is the time?

Earlier this week, House Speaker Pelosi argued that impeachment is not “even close in our caucus.”

“It’s not even close in our caucus,” Pelosi told CNN’s Manu Raju.

“Why are we speculating on hypotheticals?” she asked. “What we’re doing is winning in court. We won a victory getting the documents from the Justice Department today for fear of further going to court.”
