Sarah Sanders Says Dems Should Have A “Come To Jesus Moment’ On Impeachment

White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said she hopes Dems will have a “come to Jesus moment” during a meeting on Wednesday amid talks of impeaching President Trump.

Sarah Sanders appeared on “Fox & Friends” and spoke with reporters outside the White House as Dems gathered to discuss their oversight strategy.

“Hopefully they’re going to have a come to Jesus moment where they realize what a terrible idea this is,” Sanders said on Fox News. “There is no basis whatsoever for impeachment.”

Sarah told reporters that it’s “absurd” to say Trump is provoking Democrats into an impeachment proceeding, saying there’s “no basis” for it.

“The president’s focused on actually doing his job. It would be nice if some of the Democrats showed up to do theirs,” Sanders said.

Sarah’s remarks came after President Trump blasted Democrats on Twitter for carrying out investigations into his administration and the findings of the Mueller report.

“Everything the Democrats are asking me for is based on an illegally started investigation that failed for them, especially when the Mueller Report came back with a NO COLLUSION finding,” Trump tweeted. “Now they say Impeach President Trump, even though he did nothin wrong, while they ‘fish!'”
