Speaking with reporters on the White House’s driveway, Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders took a jab at Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi with an epic statement.
Reporters asked Sarah Sanders whether President Trump will sign the proposed border security bill.
“It’s hard to say definitively whether or not the president’s going to sign it until we know everything that’s in it. Unlike Nancy Pelosi, we actually like to read legislation before we agree to it,” Sanders said, referring to Pelosi’s infamous “We have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy,” remark.
However, the White House Press Secretary added that there were some “positive pieces” to the bill.
On Tuesday, President Donald Trump said that he was “not happy” with the proposal.
“I have to study it, I’m not happy about it,” he said. “It’s not doing the trick, but I’m adding things to it. I will add whatever I have to add. It’s all going to happen…Am I happy? The answer is no, I’m not.”
