Tim Allen’s ‘LMS’ Dominates Ratings, The Conners Can’t Live Up To Roseanne

The premiere of ABC’s Roseanne Spin Off aired Tuesday night and it was a disaster. The show barely managed to attain half the record-setting opening of its precursor. However, “Last Man Standing” continues to dominate the Friday night ratings.

As you know, “Roseanne,” which was starring Roseanne Barr, stunned the entertainment business back in March with its debut. The debut had 18.2 million viewers. In addition, even before the stopping of the show because Roseanne tweet against Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett, it still had solid 10.3 million viewers.

“The Conners” opened Tuesday at about where “Roseanne” left off. “The debut airing delivered 10.5 million viewers and a 2.3 rating among adults 18-49,” Entertainment Weekly’s James Hibberd reports.

“That’s down 55 percent from the premiere of Roseanne last spring, but was on par with Roseanne‘s finale and even managed to edge out NBC’s This Is Us for the night.”

As you can see, without Roseanne, the people aren’t as much interested in the show.

However, “Last Man Standing,” starring Tim Allen is owned the competition on Friday nights. The show averaged 8 million viewers in its premiere. In other words, the show is excellent!

What are your thoughts on this folks? Will you watch The Conners or Last Man Standing this season?
