Trump suggests Boeing rebrand 737 name

President Trump suggested today that Boeing should rebrand their infamous 737 MAX plane with a new name after multiple crashes involving the model occurred this year.

“What do I know about branding, maybe nothing (but I did become President!), but if I were Boeing, I would FIX the Boeing 737 MAX, add some additional great features, & REBRAND the plane with a new name. No product has suffered like this one. But again, what the hell do I know?” Trump said on Twitter.

As you probably know, President Trump ordered the grounding of all Boeing 737 Max airplanes after a series of crashes occurred this year.

Boeing has been working the last month to patch its software on the airplanes. Both Southwest and American Airlines have announced they are keeping the 737s grounded through the summer.

Trump gave more unsolicited advice to the airline industry last month when he suggested MIT scientists were needed to fly planes rather than pilots.

“Airplanes are becoming far too complex to fly. Pilots are no longer needed, but rather computer scientists from MIT,” Trump said on Twitter “I see it all the time in many products. Always seeking to go one unnecessary step further, when often old and simpler is far better.”
