Trump compares Melania to Jackie Kennedy

President Trump compared First lady Melania to Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, saying, “we have our own Jackie O today, it’s called Melania.

Trump made this statement when explaining his decision to paint the new Air Force One red, white and blue, replacing the baby blue color scheme picked by Kennedy Onassis in the 1960s.

It was Jackie O and that’s good. But we have our own Jackie O today, it’s called Melania. Melania. We’ll call it Melania T, OK?” Trump said during an phone interview on “Fox & Friends.”

In addition, Trump also added that Melania is a huge hit among his fans, in part because of how she dresses.

When I go speak in big crowds, we have tremendous crowds and so many people are holding up banners, you know ‘we love our first lady,’ ‘we love high heels,’” Trump said.

A 2014 poll of historians and scholars found that Jackie O was ranked third best lady in the history of America. She was behind Eleanor Roosevelt and Abigail Adams.

People immediately reacted to this comparison.

One person tweeted, “ And he is correct! Your hate for the president is showing on many of these comments. She is smart, caring and beautiful!

Another person wrote, ” She’s not on Jackie level that’s disrespectful

And another one, ” I really don’t care, do you? In Melania’s case, the O stands for obstruction.
