Rep. Hank Johnson compared Corey Lewandowski to “a fish being cleaned with a spoon” over the way he answers the House Committee’s questions.
“Mr. Lewandowski, you are about like a fish being cleaned with a spoon, it’s very hard to get an answer out of you,” Rep. Hank Johnson said at the start of his questioning, The Hill reported.
He then went on to ask Lewandowski about a 2017 Oval Office meeting with President Trump in which Trump asked Lewandowski to convince then-AG Jeff Sessions to say that the president was being treated unfairly due to Mueller’s probe.
The hearing today became somewhat chaotic during Nadler’s attempt to question Lewandowski.
Lewandowski first insisted that Nadler provide a copy of the Mueller report so that he could follow along with the passages as Dems read them.
He then told Nadler that he doesn’t remember the 2017 Oval Office meeting in which Trump asked Lewandowski to persuade Jeff Sessions to reverse his recusal and set new limits on the Mueller probe.
After Lewandowski stopped answering Nadler’s questions, Republicans and Democrats argued over whether the timeclock should be suspended on Nadler’s five minutes of questioning.
In other words, things got really wild right from the start. Let’s see how the end will be.
